Disclaimer: This page explores historical Nazarene beliefs through historical sources and Syriac Peshitta analysis. It is not anti-Trinitarian but investigates whether Nazarenes explicitly accepted or rejected the later Trinity doctrine (formalized post-325 CE). Primary evidence shows high Christology (Jesus as divine “I AM”) but no record of Trinitarian creedal positions—neither affirmation nor denial.
What is the Trinity Doctrine?
History records the Trinity Doctrine being invented in the 2nd Century AD by the hellanized Sunday keeping church (no record of Nazarinesinventing the TrinityDoctrine.)
Trinity Doctrine States:
God is the Father,

God is the Spirit,
Father is NOT the Son,
Son is NOT the Spirit,
Spirit is NOT the Son… (confusing)
This is taught as a mystery or secret that no one can understand.
Indeed God is beyond our understanding, because he is kadosh, beyond us, and pre-exists time, space, and matter,
But is it really true that God is One (Deuteronomy 6) and 3 separate persons that are not each other?
If this concept is true, it is certainly beyond our understanding, as in our reality one can not be 3, and 3 can not be 1, unless 1 is divided into 3 parts, and then reassembled back into 1. Just because God and Trinity Doctrine is beyond our understanding, does it mean it’s true, or what the Nazarenes believed or rejected?
Defending the trinitarian doctrine that the 3 are not each other, may be as simple as saying that each manifestation of God is not the same as the other. The manifestation of God as the father is not the same as the manifestation of God as the Son, and the manifestation of God as the spirit is not the same as the manifestation of God as the Son or father.
